You know what is good about cognac? You don't need to drink it cold. You can just hide it under the bed and have a drink when mom is not around! ;)

I watched Down By Law(Jim Jarmusch - 1986) on Tuesday. I had fun and I enjoyed Roberto Benigni's play. Tom Waits and John Lurie are also play in it.
I'm going to rent 4 DVDs a week form next Wednesday on, shared with a friend. I'm sooooo happy. I miss the days I was watching 3-4 movies a week. I watched every thing I could put my hands on. No matter what it was.
I know I shouldn't be. But I'm nervous.
After checking the website twice a day since 15th of the month when it was supposed to be updated, U.S. Visa Bulletin was published yesterday. It says:

For March, immigrant numbers in the DV category are available to qualified DV-2004 applicants chargeable to all regions/eligible countries as follows. When an allocation cut-off number is shown, visas are available only for applicants with DV regional lottery rank numbers BELOW the specified allocation cut-off number:
All DV Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed Separately.

AFRICA: AF 23,200 Except: Ethiopia 21,900, Nigeria 16,475
ASIA: AS 10,500 Except: Bangladesh 6,940
EUROPE: EU 17,800
NORTH AMERICA (BAHAMAS): 13
OCEANIA: OC 685
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN: SA 1,400

Some facts are:

  • Cut-off numbers for February were so:

AFRICA: AF 20,400 Except: Ethiopia 18,600, Nigeria 15,400
ASIA: AS 9,225 Except: Bangladesh 5,900
    EUROPE: EU 15,600
    NORTH AMERICA (BAHAMAS): 11
    OCEANIA: OC 600
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN: 1,250

  • Avilable number of visas are 55,000.
  • The rank number doesn't increase separately for different regions.
  • My rank number is AS 32,***.

My conclusion:
I shouldn't worry about it to much. I may have an interview 6-7 months later or I'll find another way to get out of here. :)

Good old friends usually remain good old freinds no matter how long you don't see them.

LOL.
While reformist supporter MPs were leaving the parlement in protest against banning more than 80 MPs from re-election, a conservatice MP Ahmad Nategh Noori has shouted: "They (reformists) think they can force what ever they want cause they are the majority." !!!! See more in Shargh (in Persian).
I have paid 55,000 Tomans (EUR 54) for that bottle. It's one-third of what I get from a part time job and about one-forth of my apartment rental...
Having a few drinks of Absolut Vodka with couple of friends and a pleasant dinner at a food court afterwards chit-chating all a'long. a bottle of Hennessy cognac in my backpack, looking forward to see Lucia Y El Sexo late tonight. I feel lucky.

I had a very rough week and I decided to have something refreshing on Saturday night. But what? First I thought Hummmm... A party. Doesn't matter whose party. Just a good one. Good drinks, good music and people eager to dance. Then I realized what I meant was actually a dance club which we have some how replaced with parties after the revolution. The proplem was I wasn't invited to a party. :(

I found some photos of Arg-e-Bam.

now...
I don't bother to wear black. In fact I avoid it as far as I can. I have lost an uncle, his wife and their grandson and about 60 people of farther relations. Cousins of my grandmother and their children and children-in-law and grandsons and granddaughters. All gone in the last earthquake in Bam. But I don't like to wear black. I think I will every one wear white and hold a party after my death instead of wearing black and reading Koran in a mosque and morning for 40 days.

Do you think something is wrong with me?

It's been a while that I know I need to start a weblog. If I leave Iran which might happen soon, the best way to share my news with some friends that I'll leave behind is having a weblog. Besides, I miss writing scince I stoped writing a diary two years ago.
